Grassroots is a new world issue magazine to be sold in US and Canada. The publication outlines the biggest problems of our time and offers possible solutions, and hopes to empower people with the vision and the tools to create a healthy planet with vibrant communities. They plan to reach 150.000+ readers every quarter. It is an ad-free magazine.
The client provided the six raw articles but needed a strategy and visual concept for the magazine as well as its layout.
As most of the articles discuss heavy topics, I wanted to make the read lighter and inviting. For that, I balanced the long blocks of texts with photographs, illustrations and plenty of white space.
